Preparing for your new arrival
Once your kitten is confirmed, I’ll send you everything you need to start getting ready. You’ll receive my kitten guide, health information, shopping list, food details and clear instructions before collection. I’m always happy to answer questions along the way.
Essential reading
Settling In
When your kitten first gets home, place them in a quiet room and let them come out of their carrier in their own time. It’s best to start them in the room where their litter tray is set up.
Feeding Guide
Cuddleton kittens are fed a mix of Royal Canin wet kitten food sachets, Royal Canin kitten biscuits and some raw beef meat. Fresh water is always available.
Vet Checklist
Kittens are vet checked before they leave. They are vaccinated before going home and families are supplied with their medical card showing their vaccination details.
Insurance Info
Kittens go home with insurance cover, and I recommend that families continue cover or choose an insurer that suits them. Vet treatment can be expensive.
The homecoming
First 24 hours
Set up a quiet room before letting the kitten out of the carrier. Place the litter tray in the same room so they can find it easily. Let the kitten come out in their own time.
First week
Keep things calm while the kitten settles. Check that they are eating, drinking, peeing and pooping. Allow them to gain confidence at their own pace.
First month
Keep their food familiar while they settle. Continue using the litter system they know. Watch their weight, appetite, litter habits and general confidence.
Ongoing support
I’m only ever a phone call, Facebook message or email away if families have questions. If a Cuddleton ever needs to come back for any reason, at any age, they can always come home.
